At Nasi Lemak Bumbung, the narrow street is crowded in the evenings with diners enjoying their nasi lemak. The popular dish here is their crispy fried chicken. It is also a popular spot for observing people at night.

"Favorite spot for nasi lemak in the late evening"

What would make customers choose to eat in a hidden area in SS2? The answer is delicious nasi lemak and crispy fried chicken! At Nasi Lemak Bumbung, you can see waiters rushing around with trays of nasi lemak, serving them to hungry customers at numerous tables. The fried chicken is the highlight, seasoned with various spices, fried to a golden crisp, and pairs perfectly with the subtly flavored coconut rice.

The rice is cooked perfectly, with a great taste and texture. It is not clumpy and has a subtle coconut flavor that adds to its simplicity and deliciousness.

The sambal sauce has a sweet flavor with a hint of spiciness. I like to request extra sambal because they tend to serve it in small portions. Each serving includes a fried egg, and if you're lucky, you might get a runny yolk that I enjoy mixing with the rice. The combination of yolk, sambal, rice, and chicken is incredibly delicious and satisfying.

Nasi Lemak is the most popular dish at this place, but the Maggi goreng is also a good option. The noodles are firm and not too salty, making it a satisfying late-night snack. The service is very quick, the food is tasty, and the prices are fair. Surprisingly, there is no roof over the outdoor dining area, but the name of the restaurant comes from the roof over the kitchen. If eating in an alleyway doesn't bother you, come here to enjoy a meal under the night sky.
